The Lunar Library

A continuous collection of all available publications on lunar science will be hosted in the Lunar Library on an overall space of 760 sqm. In collaboration with the University of Tübingen, Germany, a Lunar Data Base has been developed, and a base stock of books and writings has been installed.

The Lunar Library has been equipped with specially designed circular-segmented bookshelves and reading tables. Conference and lecture rooms have been exclusively furnished and equipped with state-of-the-art media technology. Working Boxes are installed as secluded areas for quiet work and research. Via integrated PCs and displays, the Lunar Data Base is available from every workstation.

Additionally, visitors are able to explore the Lunar Data Base interactively through a 55“ multi-touchscreen.
